Riverside Park is one of Greater Cincinnati’s premier youth sports destinations, welcoming thousands of baseball and softball players each year for leagues, tournaments, practices, and recreational play.

A dedicated practice space is still needed. Although Riverside Park features 5 all-weather turf infield diamonds, it does not currently offer a public batting cage facility where players can practice hitting and continue developing their skills.

To meet this need, the Anderson Park District and the Anderson Foundation for Parks and Recreation are raising funds to install two batting cages with turf surfaces at Riverside Park. Each batting cage costs $45,000, and construction will begin once fundraising goals are met.

This project would give athletes of all ages a dedicated space to work on their hitting and build skills. It’s an investment in local athletes that helps strengthen Riverside Park as a destination for baseball and softball in the community.

Donors of $5,000+ will be permanently recognized on a plaque installed at the batting cages for the lifespan of the cages. All other donors will receive public recognition upon completion of the project.
